My Story

My love for building began long before SoundRich. As a child, I was always looking for something to design, repair, or improve—from building a treehouse to replacing the rusted body of my Radio Flyer wagon with one made from wood. In ninth-grade shop class, I built my first piece of furniture, a desk that is pictured here. That project helped turn a childhood interest into a lasting passion for woodworking, problem-solving, and creating useful things with my own hands.

In 2019, I drew on that passion to build my first Golu Padi prototype, also pictured, to solve a problem my own family faced every Navratri. The response from family and friends was overwhelmingly positive, and I decided to begin producing additional sets for other families to enjoy.

Unfortunately, those plans were put on hold when the COVID-19 pandemic brought material shortages and dramatic increases in lumber costs.

Rather than giving up on the idea, I used that time to learn and improve. Over the next several years, I expanded my skills in CAD design, 3D printing, modern woodworking techniques, and product development while building relationships with trusted suppliers and industry partners.

What began as a simple prototype evolved through countless design iterations, scaled 3D-printed models, material research, fastener testing, construction refinements, and feedback from real users. Every version taught me something new, resulting in a product that is stronger, easier to assemble, more reliable, and better suited to the needs of families celebrating Golu.

Today, I am proud to offer the culmination of that journey—a thoughtfully engineered Golu Padi that brings traditional design together with modern materials, innovative building techniques, and quality craftsmanship, helping families celebrate and carry their traditions forward for generations to come.
